Responsible for administering the affairs of the Council, Executive and Advisory Committees of the charity and for all employment matters relating to employees of MSSC.

Management of the administration of the SCC. MSSCHQ point of contact for Unit Chairmen and all aspects of Unit Management Committee business and responsibilities.

Overall responsibility for the development and implementation of the MSSC Communications strategy.

Manages the fundraising strategy for the MSSC immediate capital campaign and associated fundraising activity.
Director of Education and Adult Learning
Brian Thomas
Manages the strategic development and delivery of an effective education service to seafarers (and adult members of the SCC) through the College of the Sea and other avenues.
Director (Merchant Navy)
Captain Ian Smith
Manages a strategy for promoting and supporting the maritime industry.Represents and promotes the charity to other maritime organisations and maritime events.Directs the ships’ library and book services, strategic input to Seafarer Magazine and management of educational grants and financial assistance to seafarers.

In charge of determining the information needs of the MSSC and Sea Cadet Corps (SCC) and driving the development of Management Information Systems and infrastructure to meet these requirements.
