Director of Business Management, MSSCHQ, London

If you thrive on leading people and projects, making operational and strategic decisions and identifying and realising business development opportunities you may be just the person to fill our vacancy for a Director of Business Management. You will also need to demonstrate an interest and experience in personnel administration and a sound knowledge of child protection issues and investigations.

We are looking for an experienced senior manager to shape the strategic business direction of our affiliated charities and also the HQ administrative management of all our adult volunteers. In doing so the post holder will lead, direct and motivate a team of staff based at our HQ in London and six Area based offices throughout the UK.

Applications are invited from candidates with proven experience in a senior role of developing and implementing business strategies, managing major projects, budget control, safeguarding policy and sound decision making. Awareness of the management of criminal record disclosures and the new Independent Safeguarding Authority are essential and you are likely to have worked within an organisation where the management of investigations and incidents has been integral to your role. Experience relating to the welfare, health and safety of individuals and the infrastructure and environment in which they operate would be a distinct advantage. In addition to being innovative and highly motivated, you will need to be a team player with excellent planning and influencing skills. Fluent written, oral communication and computer skills are also a necessity.
