Bound for Georgia, USA
We have now departed Trinidad and are heading for the USA to discharge a full cargo of LNG.
The loading operation in Trinidad went smoothly. As it was over two years since the ship was last at the port, it was nice to see all the old faces again.
We are at the moment sailing through the Caribbean, enjoying the blue skies and warm weather.
We shall pass through the Mona Passage today and then skirt the edge of the Bahamas on our way to Savannah.
Once we arrive in the USA, we will be given a full inspection by the US Coast Guard. They will send an inspection team onboard to examine all the ship's certificates and ensure all our equipment and crew training meets the required standards. Once this is complete we will be allowed to discharge the cargo.
A few of us are hoping to get ashore. I myself am eager to find a Subway restaurant so I can have a Philly Cheese steak Sub! If I can’t make it I may have to ask one of the guys to bring me one back.
