College of the Sea

praise from Ofsted

Why choose us in 2010?

The Marine Society College of the Sea
Choice - choose from an extensive range of subjects at levels which range from GCSEs to degrees.

Flexibility- you decide when you want to study and fit your learning around your work and family commitments at a pace that suits you.

Freedom- no set start dates - enrol at any time - corresponding and submitting assignments using email, fax, or traditional mail - the choice is yours!

Value- most courses are available through us cheaper than if you bought them direct from our partner providers.

Financial help- in addition to discounted course fees, financial help may be available to British seafarers to support their continued professional development.

Added Value - unlike most providers, we are a registered examination centre. This means we can look after all your exam entry paperwork so that you can focus on your studies. We even arrange for examinations to be taken at sea if this becomes necessary. Peace of mind assured!

Books- we can supply any required reading (books/software) at discounted prices.

Quality- as a Learning & Skills Council college we have in place a framework of strategies and systems that are scrutinized by HM Government's Ofsted. At our last inspection we were described as "one of the best providers in the country". Our quality assurance and our complaints policy are published in our Learner Centre.

Underpinning Support- we offer a student-focused, personal service; expert guidance and confidential advice is available at any time by any means you wish.
