What's this about?

Essential Book-keeping is the starting point to help develop a good level of basic skills, including debits and credits, journals and ledgers, VAT records and balance sheets.


What you will get from it

Book-keeping is a practical, hands-on skill for keeping financial accounts. These skills are essential if you're starting a new business or need to look after the money for a club, society, or SCC unit!


Is it for me?

No previous experience is needed. Computer access is useful but not essential.


Examination issues

Six tutor-marked assignments.


Qualification?

The course is endorsed by the Small Firms Enterprise Development Initiative (SFEDI).


Seafarer-friendly issues

This is a text based distance learning programme: attendance is not required. Support is available to students through all the usual channels of communication.


Cost

£250, which includes cost of course materials and tutor support.
