Data Protection Coordinator
Location: MSSC HQ London, SE1 7JW
Salary: c.£27,000 per annum pro rata depending on experience
Contract: Permanent, Full time
We are currently looking to recruit a dynamic and proactive Data Protection Coordinator to implement the Marine Society and Sea Cadets’ (MSSC) data protection policies and lead on the responses to Subject Access Requests (SARS).
You will be experienced and trained in Data Protection legislation and the processing of SARS. Experience working in the charity sector and with volunteers will be an added advantage as is project management experience. You should demonstrate maturity and discretion, and be adaptable and flexible in your approach to work.
The Marine Society & Sea Cadets (MSSC) is the nation’s largest maritime charity and the governing charity of the Sea Cadet Corps (SCC), a civilian voluntary youth organisation comprising some 400 or so volunteer Sea Cadet Units, throughout the UK. In the role of Data Protection Coordinator your focus is on ensuring that our work is developed, delivered and promoted in line with data protection policies and statutory requirements. You will also play a key role in the delivery of effective support for volunteers, Area teams and the adoption of good practice in relation to data protection.
