Part-time Volunteer Administrator
Based Northern Area Office, MOD Caledonia, Hilton Road, Rosyth KY11 2XH
Salary: c. £21,000 per annum pro rata depending on experience
We are currently looking to appoint a permanent, part time Volunteer Administrator, a role known within the organisation as a Volunteer Support Administrator (VSA). This role is based in our Northern Area Office, located within MOD Caledonia.
This is an opportunity for a proactive and effective administrator to build their skills and experience working within a charity that is passionate about investing in young people and giving them the best possible head start in life.
The Marine Society & Sea Cadets (MSSC) is a vibrant and growing charity delivering life changing nautical adventure for young people through the Sea Cadets together with personal and professional development opportunities for seafarers with the Marine Society. Together with our staff, cadets and volunteers, we have contributed extensively to the lives of thousands of young people and seafarers, while fully supporting our volunteers who are vital to our success.
In this part-time VSA role you will need to have sound experience of office administration and systems, have excellent computer skills, and should be capable of working both as part of a small team and alone when required. You will also need to be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people including volunteers and be self-motivated, hands-on and flexible. A natural empathy for volunteers is essential.
This is a permanent contract, and is a part-time role based on a working week of 18 hours, Wednesday to Friday.
