Location: MSSC HQ, London SE1 7JW
Salary: £22,000 per annum pro rata
Contract: Fixed term contract, part time, two days a week till September 2019.
We are currently seeing a dynamic Receptionist/HR Administrator to provide excellent customer service to our visitors and administrative support to our HR team.
This role is a fixed term position and initially a job share till September 2019 working two days a week. From September onwards, we will need someone in this role full time till December 2020.
If you are interested in this role either for the entire duration or for the initial part time job share period, please let us know and specify this in the subject line of your application.
As the first point of contact many people have with MSSC, you will need to have an understanding of customer service and have a professional, friendly and personable approach. As part of your duties, you are responsible for our main switchboard, managing our main enquiries email address and greeting visitors to the building.
Good organisation and a flexible approach to work are also essential, as you would need to balance your reception duties with providing administrative support to the HR team, particularly in recruitment.
You would also need sound administration and IT skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
This is a busy and varied role and would be a great opportunity for a receptionist or administrator looking to gain some experience of HR administration.
The Marine Society & Sea Cadets (MSSC) is the nation’s largest maritime charity and the governing charity of the Sea Cadet Corps (SCC), a civilian voluntary youth organisation comprising some 400 or so volunteer Sea Cadet Units, throughout the UK. For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Gillian Da Costa (Senior HR Advisor) at firstname.lastname@example.org.

We also request all candidates to complete an equal opportunities form (available below) and send this to us along with your application.
Please email your full application to email@example.com. Alternatively, please print out and post your completed application to HR, The Marine Society and Sea Cadets, 202 Lambeth Road, London SE1 7JW.
We will be reviewing applications and interviewing candidates on an ongoing basis till this vacancy is filled. Please send in your application at your earliest convenience if you would like to be considered for this role.
