The Cadet Expansion Programme (CEP) is a Government supported initiative aimed at establishing 500 cadet units in schools by March 2020. Sea Cadets have committed to forming 24 school-based units across the UK by 2020 as part of CEP.

Boldon School is an approved CEP unit and has been parading since September 2017. Two Sessional Workers are sought to each work four hours per week during term time. The post holders will be required to support and assist a Dedicated Person and the host unit, Hebburn and Sunderland Sea Cadets, with the establishment, development and growth of Sea Cadets in the school.

Sessional Workers will be contracted to work every Tuesday from 3-6pm, term time only (times to be a little flexible depending on offsite activity). This is a fixed term contract from September 2019 to April 2020. Salary will be £10.66 per hour + holiday pay.

The post holder will be an existing uniformed adult volunteer instructor within the Sea Cadets Corps.

Please note that some schools have different DBS requirements to MSSC and candidates may be required to pass a DBS check with the school or present their Sea Cadets DBS certificate to the school for approval before appointment.
