The Cadet Expansion Programme (CEP) is a Government supported initiative aimed at establishing 500 cadet units in schools by March 2020. Sea Cadets have committed to forming 24 school-based units across the UK by 2020 as part of CEP.

Great Academy Ashton is an established CEP unit and has been parading since July 2017. Sessional Workers are sought to each work four hours per week during term time. The post holders will be required to support and assist a Dedicated Person and the host unit, Tameside Sea Cadets, with the establishment, development and growth of Sea Cadets in the school.

Sessional Workers will be contracted to work one afternoon a week to deliver a two hour session straight after school, term time only (times to be a little flexible depending on offsite activity). This is a fixed term contract. Salary will be £10.66 per hour + holiday pay.

The post holder will be an existing uniformed adult volunteer instructor within the Sea Cadets Corps.
