Data Protection Coordinator
Location: MSSC HQ, SE1 7JW (temp home working)
Contract: part time, permanent (21 hours per week) there is some flexibility in how this can be worked over the week, to be discussed in more detail during interview.
Salary: £27,000 pro rata (£21,600 per annum)

Marine Society and Sea Cadets (MSSC) is a leading maritime charity in lifelong learning and personal development and is the governing charity of the Sea Cadet Corps (SCC), a civilian voluntary youth organisation engaging some 15,000 young people over 400 Sea Cadet Units, throughout the UK. The SCC offers a wide range of youth opportunities with the same enduring objective – to give young people the best possible head start in life through nautical adventure and fun.
We are currently looking to recruit a dynamic and proactive Data Protection Coordinator to implement the Marine Society and Sea Cadets’ (MSSC) data protection policies and lead on the responses to Subject Access Requests (SARS).
Key areas will focus on:
- Ensuring work is developed, delivered and promoted in line with data protection policies and statutory requirements
- Deliver effective support for volunteers and area teams
- Good practice in relation to data protection
