Location:Office based with a flexible working policy. Position would be based at London, Portsmouth or one of our six Area Offices. 

Contract: Full time, permanent

Salary:  £22,000 Per annum

We are looking for a people-focused Training Development Coordinator to take ownership of coordinating some of our training activity, working with the Learning team to communicate new and revised training initiatives and support on training events.

The MSSC is a vibrant and growing charity delivering life changing nautical adventure and fun for young people through the Sea Cadets. We aim to give young people nationwide the best possible head start in life by building life skills to help provide a brighter future. This role is ideal for an individual who is enthusiastic about driving change and working towards a collective goal, and relishes the opportunity to work with our amazing volunteers and our young Sea Cadets.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • A track record of working with learners and/or educators/volunteers in education/education charity administration
  • Experience in updating, maintaining and improving digital platforms
  • Experience of managing events, workshops and stakeholder meetings
  • A proven ability to work with and motivate people and is an excellent communicator
  • The ability to plan and coordinate a busy portfolio of activities
  • A can do attitude and willingness to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in
  • A professional, calm approach who can role model our core values
