Salary: £4,735.28 gross per annum (£22,385 pro rata)

Marine Society and Sea Cadets (MSSC) is a leading maritime charity in lifelong learning and personal development and is the governing charity of the Sea Cadet Corps (SCC), a civilian voluntary youth organisation engaging some 15,000 young people over 400 Sea Cadet Units, throughout the UK.  The SCC offers a wide range of youth opportunities with the same enduring objective – to give young people the best possible head start in life through nautical adventure and fun.

Weare seeking 3 OTW Project Assistants who will support the delivery of the On The Water project at one of 3 boating stations in either London, Liverpool or Birmingham. The project provides young people from outside Sea Cadets, age 9-14, the opportunity to get on the water, learn new skills and build confidence through boating activity.

Key areas will focus on:

  • The welcoming and registration of participants for the On The Water project
  • Collecting and uploading daily statistics and figures that show how the project is progressing
  • Making new and repeat bookings
  • Talking to participants and their parents/carers about the opportunities within Sea Cadets
  • Supporting the project evaluation
