MSSC is governed by a Board of non-executive Council Members (Trustees), who delegate the day-to-day management to the chief executive and his team. Individual members of Council chair the following subcommittees of the main Board:

Directors of MSSC

Chief Executive Officer: Martin Coles
Responsible for overall leadership, direction and management of the personnel and activities of MSSC to achieve the requirements of the Trustees.

Captain Sea Cadet Corps & Director of Operations (Serving RN Officer): Captain Mark Windsor RN
Provides operational leadership to Sea Cadets with specific focus on the safe delivery of training.
 

Director of Finance, IT and Trading : Mark Hallam
Manages the financial affairs of MSSC.  Also oversees IT, Book Services and Stores departments.
 
Company Secretary/Human Resources: Claire Barnett
Responsible for administering the affairs of Council, Executive and Advisory Committees and  all employment matters relating to employees of MSSC.

Director of Business Management: John Parker-Jones
Manages the administration of the SCC. MSSC HQ point of contact for unit chairs and all aspects of Unit Management Committee business and responsibilities.

Director of Development: Laura McManus
Manages the fundraising strategy for MSSC, immediate capital campaign and associated fundraising activity.
 
Director of Communications & Media: Samantha Shaw
Oversees and directs the strategic communications, including brand and marketing.
