MSSC is governed by a board of non-executive Council Members (Trustees), who delegate the day-to-day management to the Chief Executive and his team. Individual members of council chair the following subcommittees of the main board:
— Finance, Investment, Remuneration and Audit Committee
— Policy, Development and Nominations Committee
— Safety, Safeguarding and Risk Committee
— National Sea Cadets Advisory Council
Responsible for overall leadership, direction and management of the personnel and activities of MSSC to achieve the requirements of the Trustees.
Provides operational leadership to Sea Cadets with specific focus on the safe delivery of training.
Manages the financial affairs of MSSC. Also oversees IT, Book Services and Stores departments.
Responsible for all employment matters relating to MSSC's staff.
Manages the administration of the Sea Cadet Corps and is MSSC HQ's point of contact for unit chairs and all aspects of Unit Management Committee business and responsibilities. Also leads the team providing support to volunteers across the Sea Cadets.
Directs charity’s strategic communications, brand and marketing. Leads fundraising strategy and activity for Sea Cadets and Marine Society.
Responsible for all training and education for Sea Cadets.
Responsible for policy and young people support for seafarers and Sea Cadets.
Responsible for products and education for seafarers.
